To Listen to Radio (Ironically this is the most complicated component to use) |
1. |
|
Turn on the Yamaha Receiver by pushing STANDBY/ON button (Labeled 1) |
2. |
|
Push the right or left INPUT ARROW (Labeled 2) on the lower right of the Receiver until “Tuner” shows on the display.
The display will change automatically to show the frequency of the radio station currently selected. |
3. |
|
The display will show whether FM or AM is selected. If needed, change to the other by pushing the AM/FM button (Labeled 3).
To tune to an AM channel skip to step 7a. |
4. |
|
There are 5 groups of 8 preset FM channels or 40 preset channels in total. See list of current preset channels. |
5. |
|
Select one of the groups of channels by pushing the A/B/C/D/E button (Labeled 4) as many times as needed.
The letter representing the group appears on the display; followed by the number of the channel within the group. |
6. |
|
If the letter and number shown are followed by a colon-like symbol, continue to step 7.
If not, push the small found PRESET/TUNER EDIT button (Labeled 7) once and the colon will appear. |
7. |
|
To choose a channel within a group, push one of the PRESET/TURNER ARROWS (Labeled 5) until the desired channel is selected.
You can select a different group at any time by pushing the A/B/C/D/E button (Labeled 4). |
7a. |
|
If you desire to tune into a channel not among those already preset, push the small round PRESET/TUNER EDIT button (Labeled 7) to make the colon disappear that follows the group letter and channel number. Now pushing the PRESET/TUNER ARROWS (Labeled 5) will move to the next available station instead of the next preset channel. Keep pushing until the desired channel is found. |
